    New store frontend

Faster checkout: from product to payment without extra fields

We rebuild the cart and payment step so that buying on a phone doesn't mean creating an account, retyping an address or hunting for a parcel locker code.

Five changes that shorten the purchase

An example on a phone. Each change can be rolled out on its own.

    1. 1Delivery cost on the product pageShipping cost and delivery date sit under the price. Customers don't find out about costs at payment, and Baymard Institute research puts extra costs as the top reason for abandoned carts.
    2. 2Guest checkoutThe customer enters an email and buys as a guest. We offer an account after the purchase, in one click, since the details are already filled in.
    3. 3Address autocompleteAfter a few letters the field suggests the full address and fills in the postcode and city. Fewer typos, fewer parcels coming back to the store.
    4. 4InPost parcel locker map in the cartThe customer picks a parcel locker on a map while ordering. Support stops emailing people to ask for the locker code.
    5. 5BLIK, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the topFast payment methods sit on the first screen. On a phone the purchase ends with a BLIK code or a fingerprint, with no card number to type.

Four moments where the checkout loses customers

Delivery cost on the last step

The customer knows the product price and learns about delivery only at payment. Some close the tab and buy where they knew upfront.

    Forced account

Sign-up before buying: password, repeat password, consents. On a phone that's several screens before the customer even sees the payment.

Address and locker typed by hand

A typo in the postcode or a wrong locker code ends with a returned parcel and an email to support.

    No fast payment

When BLIK is fifth on the list or missing, a customer on a phone has to go and find their card.

What we can do on six platforms

The scope depends on how much the platform lets you change the checkout. Before we start, we tell you what's possible in your store.

    WooCommerce

Full control over the checkout. We change the order form, add a parcel locker map and BLIK through a payment provider such as Przelewy24 or PayU.

    PrestaShop

We rebuild the checkout in the theme and modules. A locker map, address autocomplete and payment order are the typical scope.

    Shopware

We change the checkout in the theme and plugins, including step order and form fields.

    Shopify

We change the cart and product page freely. Shopify's payment screen has its own rules: on standard plans we change settings, delivery and payment methods, and a deeper rebuild needs Shopify Plus.

    IdoSell

The checkout is part of the platform. We set up what the admin panel and integrations allow: delivery and payment methods, their order, delivery info on the product page.

    Shoper

We work with what the admin panel, theme and Shoper App Store apps offer. If something can't be done, we tell you before we start.

How we check that the checkout sells better

Before the change we set up a checkout funnel in Google Analytics and collect at least two weeks of data. After launch we compare the same steps.

    1. 1Checkout started
    2. 2Delivery chosen
    3. 3Payment chosen
    4. 4Purchase

You see which step lost the most people and how many of them now complete the purchase.

    Common questions

Will this work without changing platforms?

Yes. We work on the platform you have. On IdoSell and Shoper the scope is smaller and we say so before we start.

Won't guest checkout mean fewer customer accounts?

We offer the account after the purchase. The customer only sets a password because everything else is already filled in, so creating an account takes one click.

Where does address autocomplete come from?

From an address service such as Google Places, or from a Polish address database. We pick one to match your platform and order volume, since some services charge per lookup.

Does BLIK need a new payment provider?

Usually not. Most Polish providers support BLIK, including Przelewy24, PayU and Tpay. We change where it sits on the list and how it is shown.

    Other parts of this service

    Checkout audit

We measure mobile speed in PageSpeed Insights (LCP, INP, CLS), walk through the product page, cart and payment, and use Google Analytics to find the step where shoppers drop off.

    New theme or headless frontend

A new theme on your current platform is usually enough. For large catalogues and high traffic we build a separate frontend that reads store data through the API.

    Launch without a sales break

We test the new frontend on a copy of the store and switch over in the quietest hour. The old theme stays ready to restore.
